With over two decades of experience in remotely piloted and radio-controlled aircraft operations, I bring a strong foundation in both the technical and operational aspects of unmanned aviation. My background combines extensive hands-on flight experience with a consistent focus on safe, compliant, and professional operations.
I have been closely involved in supporting UAS Operators Certificates (UASOCs), working with the documentation, systems, and processes that underpin regulatory approval and sustained operational integrity. This has provided a detailed understanding of the standards required within a safety-critical aviation environment.
My approach is defined by precision, accountability, and a commitment to maintaining high industry standards as the unmanned aviation sector continues to evolve.
My Story
Growing up in the Eastern Cape, I was introduced to radio-controlled model aircraft at an early age, an experience that quickly developed into a lasting commitment to aviation. This foundation was reinforced by achieving a South African Model Aircraft Association (SAMAA) Gold rating at a notably young age—an early milestone that reflected both aptitude and discipline in unmanned flight operations.
As the drone industry began to expand in the early years, I was quick to engage, initially designing and building my own aircraft before progressing into the commercial environment. This journey in the commercial environment then provided exposure across multiple sectors, allowing me to develop a broad and practical understanding of the industry’s capabilities and challenges.
Through this experience, it became clear that access to knowledge and operational insight remains a limiting factor for many operators and organizations.
Vox Aeria was then established to address this gap—delivering informed, structured, and forward-thinking solutions that support the responsible growth of the unmanned aviation industry.
